Khurum Khan is a highly regarded Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, practicing in North and Central London. He blends deep clinical expertise with active research, clinical trials, and access to innovative treatments. He also serves as Clinical Genomics Lead at The London Clinic, in collaboration with Northwestern University, Chicago. This role provides him with unique national and international networks and expertise in precision oncology.
He holds special expertise in liquid biopsies (including ctDNA analysis for biomarker discovery and tracking treatment response/resistance) and is widely regarded as a key opinion leader (KOL) in this field and in genomics—leading to his appointment as Clinical Genomics Lead. His landmark research integrates longitudinal liquid biopsies with evolutionary modeling to forecast therapy outcomes and enable adaptive, precision strategies. In addition, he has published a series of his private patients who underwent liquid biopsies and were found to have a rare POLE mutation, resulting in complete remission from initial metastatic disease, in Frontiers in Immunology.
